The Green Bee

I was practicing my close up shots on a bright sunny morning in Atlanta. What's an amateur photography portfolio without a closeup of a flower with a bee inside it??. I searched high and low for bees, I even called up the Queen Bee but she refused to budge from her hive. Crestfallen I decided to see what could be done to establish my amateur status and there it was... A bud that looked so uncannily like a bee. It gives me great pleasure to join the official ranks of Amateur Photographers... Posted by Picasa

Thanks for the comment..I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT 8 megapixels. The performance is amazing. The 18-55mm lens that it comes with is great for wide angle shots and close-ups. However to augment it you might want to invest in a 75-300mm Canon lens. That's a telephoto lens perfect for portrait photography and sport events. Another thing to remember is get a SanDisk Ultra II compact flash memory card. It transfers pics at a rate of 9Mbps and since the Canon camera captures pictures, 4MB in size, in max resolution the ultra II will allow you to click pictures fast in case you need to take rapid shots in succession. There are good deals for the camera appearing on Dell so keep checking there.. the whole package cost me $1000 which isn't a bad deal at all... just the camera and the included lens will be cheaper.
