EXCELLENT NIGHT SHOTS. What's the exposure and shutter speed for this one?

Loved the ship shot, a perspective shot I would say

Thanks Doris.. I cropped this horizontally so that I could use it as my desktop wallpaper since I have a 15.4" wide screen monitor. Another moon shot I took is Once in a Pink Moon

bakwaas... thanks for the compliments :) you gotta teach me portrait photography sometime.. lovely shots on your blog. The technical details of this shot are

Exposure time: 0.005s (1/200 shutter speed)
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 100
Metering Mode: Matrix

excellent nite shot........loved the mooond one and under the bridge one (good framing for that)

also the way u have cropped the moon pic is goood........

ship shot....nice perspective as bakwaas said.....

did u use a tripod for all 3 of them ?

thanks Deep... am glad you liked them... I don't own a tripod :( though I am looking for a good one.. the ship's pic was taken by putting the camera on top of a short lamp post but the lens I used was the 75-300mm at 280mm so couldn't balance it properly thats why there's a slight blur in that pic...

I took maybe 20 shots of the moon at different shutter speeds and modes and ISO settings by bracing my elbows against my knees as I balanced my foot on the rear fender of my car. Only two came out this clear. This one was sharper than the other one..

The bridge framed pic was taken by gingerly balancing the camera on a thin railing and bracing the lens with one hand...

I really really must get a tripod...
