Solitude
It is evident that this picture was a part of a larger one. I had taken a picture of the Monte Carlo hotel and casino one evening walking down the strip in Vegas. This was when I had recently got my camera and I was in experimenting mode. As it turned out the Monte Carlo came out very dark in the final picture against the backdrop of the beautiful colors of dusk in the desert. Looking at the picture I found out that it wasn't a complete waste and discovered the joys of cropping. The fact that my Canon Digital Rebel gives me 8MP to work with meant that I could crop a small part of the picture and in actual size it would still be big enough.
The single tree was away from all the hotels and in the background but it stood out in the evening sky and thats why I decided to make it the center subject of the picture.
